Regular downloads are scanned for malicious content. Downloads that originate from blobs, file URLs, or data URLs aren't scanned for malicious content. |

In some scenarios, enabling the "Prevent access to downloaded files until the scan is complete" setting doesn't prevent access to the downloaded files before the scan is complete. [See Prevent access to downloaded files until the scan is complete] In these scenarios, if the downloaded file is found to be malicious, the extension will attempt to delete the malicious downloaded file. |
