About scan actions

When an email is scanned by "Acronis Email Security", the scan is assigned one of the available scan actions. The action may be changed after the initial action is assigned. The available scan actions are described below.

Action

Description

In Delivery

Delivery of the email initially failed. There were attempts to resend the email. The resend attempts also failed.

Delivered

The email was delivered.

Note: The email may be delivered to the recipient's Inbox, Junk, or Spam folders, depending on various configurations.

Quarantined

The email or file was quarantined by "Acronis Email Security".

  • Inline integrations: The email is located in the "Acronis Email Security" servers.

  • Microsoft 365 API: The email is located in a hidden [not visible] folder in the user's mailbox. The content and subject of the email are changed. For details, see A bit more about the Microsoft 365 API integration.

Emails that were quarantined by Microsoft are not assigned a Quarantined action. [See Quarantined by Microsoft below]

Scanned

The email was scanned and found to be clean.

Delivery Failed

Failed to send the email to the customer's server. The information icon [] shows the reason for the failure. Click the icon to show the details.

Quarantined by Microsoft

The email was quarantined by Microsoft.

Released from Microsoft quarantine

The email was released from quarantine in Microsoft.
